National Account Manager, Commercial Construction Customer Segment 55 views

The Construction National Account Manager (CNAM) will support the regions by providing strategic direction and progressive leadership and oversight to achieve sales and profit goals targeting commercial electrical contractors. The leader will use an advanced level of sales skill, industry knowledge and business acumen to build an effective account strategy, expand the web of influence, build key client relationships,recognize all client needs / opportunities and drive accountability for performance throughout a division’s regions, districts, sales leadership and sales representatives by working in collaboration with the Region Directors.

Detailed Description

·

Establish and execute formal business plans targeting WESCO’s top accounts in coordination with branch sales representatives and leadership.

·

Build strong client relationships and establish trust with all key client contacts,resulting in increased sales of existing verticals, as well as growth into new WESCO product and service offerings.

·

Create, distribute, monitor and expand value creation solutions to promote profitability of contractors and branches servicing the market.

·

Work with the supplier relations, product category and sales leadership teams to oversee “best in industry” supplier relationships. Develop and maintain relationships with region level executives representing all core suppliers.

·

Maintain interaction with the branches at the sales leadership level to support account growth and to maintain ongoing oversight of the attainment of plan goals and objectives. Ensure that account level plans are properly resourced and positioned for successful outcomes.

Optimize the sales organization by participating in helping to recruit, select, orient and train new sales associates.

·

Maintain regular, periodic communication with District Managers and Region Directors around sales, margin and marketing performance for the customer segment.

·

Forecast and communicate appropriate business performance information to senior leadership on a timely basis.

·

Oversee a high level of execution for all corporate driven business development programs.

Accountable for monitoring and maintaining a high level of market expertise and knowledge, including competitor products, services and delivery models.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

·

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources

·

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

·

Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills

·

Managing one’s own time and the time of others

·

Excellent communication and computer skills

·

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 3 years of national accounts sales experience

Alternative energy experience (Solar, EV charging, LED) preferred

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field preferred
